Description

Hanging Blue Jay ornament. Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata). Blue Jays - bright, bold, blue "foodies"! Blue Jays symbolize loyalty, intelligence and are known for their strong family bonds. Fierce defenders of their young.  A great gift choice for Blue Jay supporters, birders or for anyone that simply loves the colour blue! Comes in two sizes - adult and chick.

Details

The Blue Jay is crafted entirely from glass - no paints, glazes or molds are used in their production. The bird's shape is designed and hand-cut, then layers of coloured crushed glass built up on the clear shape before firing the bird is in a kiln over many hours.  I initial each bird on his reverse for authenticity and to add an extra personal touch.
